Arsenic in Chicken Feed in the USA

Melanie Avery - Wednesday, March 30, 2011

Thank you to Dr Greg Emerson for sharing this link to an article by Science Daily that discusses the uses of Arsenic in chicken feed in the USA.

Now while this refers to chicken feed and production in the USA, I am very weary as our standards here in Australia are no where near as strict in regards to what additives are allowed in our food and that of animal feed. Yes, hormones have been banned in chicken production in Australia for a long time but we would be silly to assume that they would have instantly reverted back to natural, primitive farming techniques.

Considering that additives keep appearing in foods allowed in Australia that are supposed to be banned, one would have to assume that the same may be occurring in animal production used for food.

Have a read and do your research before you decide what is best for you and your family.
