Tug of War
Depending on the number of children at your party, get yourself an old sheet or towel and twist it diagonal to create a makeshift rope. A rope can be used but choose one that won’t dig into the children’s hands.Draw a line on the ground with chalk or have a stick or piece of string to create the middle line.
Have equal numbers of children on either end of the ‘rope’ with the middle of the ‘rope’ in line with the line on the ground.
Have an adult or a leader say “ready, set, go”. The children keep pulling until the last child on the ‘rope’ goes across the line on the ground.
A variation is to have a contest or duel using two children at a time, eliminating until you get to a grand final.
