Country Baked Chicken

Ingredients

3 skinless chicken breasts
1 cup self-raising flour
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp garlic salt
2 tsp lemon pepper
2 tsp black pepper
½ tsp celery salt
½ tsp cayenne pepper
Water
Spray olive oil

NOTE: be sure to check that there are no additives in the spices such as flavour.

Method

Preheat oven to 200°c. Line a baking tray with baking paper.

Mix the flour and the spices together in a bowl. Fill another bowl with water for dipping the chicken in. Set these aside.

Cut the chicken into thin, manageable strips of the desired size.

Dip the chicken into the water and then into the flour mix. Repeat.

Place the chicken onto the baking tray. When you have floured all of the chicken, spray it with olive oil.

Bake for 10 minutes. Turn the chicken over, spray with olive oil and bake for a further 10 minutes or until cooked through.

Serve on small plate or cardboard tray with a fork. You can add some oven baked, additive free chips for the authentic ‘chicken and chips’ experience. Remember to use additive free tomato sauce.
